College Planning

The Golf Performance Academy is only in it’s 5th year of operation but boasts a resume of over 50+ graduates who have gone on to have successful college golf careers. At GPA, we value the college process and have a robust program in place to support the student-athletes and provide the support and guidance they need for every step of the journey.

 

Starting at 9th grade, the college process begins, culminating in a commitment to play or a signing of the National Letter of Intent in the 12th grade.

College Commits

Sydney joined The Golf Performance Center in 2020 as an aspiring college golfer.

Through her determination to excel in all areas of her game, Sydney developed tremendously as an athlete and golfer. She lowered her scoring average by 10 shots which is a testament to her work ethic and commitment to the process. This improvement in her scoring average coincides directly with her PDI scores throughout her time in the program landing at a solid 45.

We are so proud of Sydney for her commitment to Hamilton College Women’s Golf Team. We couldn't be more excited for her future as a collegiate athlete.
Jake Portugal joined The Academy at GPC in 2020 as an aspiring college golfer.

Jake developed his physical function, golf skills, and mental game all while impressively balancing academics. He lowered his scoring average to 74, improving by 12 shots over the past two years. Jake’s PDI followed his scoring average by progressing to a total of 65.

We are proud of Jake for signing his NLI with Fairleigh Dickinson University this fall and couldn’t be more excited for his future as a collegiate athlete.
Ava joined The Academy at GPC in 2021 as an aspiring college golfer.

Bringing an incredible work ethic in the gym, at the course, and in the classroom, Ava lowered her scoring average by 8 shots in just over a year. This positive progression directly coincides with her PDI score during her time here – landing at a solid 57 from a starting point of 45.

We are so proud of her for committing to Florida Southern College Women’s Golf team. We couldn't be more proud and excited for her future!
Jonathan joined The Academy at GPC in 2020 with the goal to play college golf.

Jonathan has exemplified a winner’s mindset throughout his time here. He brings it every day which has resulted in lowering his scoring average from 83 to 72 with multiple tournament wins under his belt – all while being a stand-out student. The improvement of Jonathan’s scoring average directly relates to his rising PDI score currently peaking at an impressive 73.

We are proud of Jonathan for his commitment to Kenyon College Men’s Golf Team.
Elias joined The Golf Performance Center in 2015 as an ambitious 10 year old. His passion for the game was quickly met with his aspiration to play college golf.

Elias’ scoring average dropped to 73 during his time with us and has landed with an exceptional PDI score of 84. With shooting 62 to win his first AJGA event along with many other strong performances, we’re excited to recognize Elias and his commitment to Louisville Men’s Golf team.
Koto Freeman joined The Academy at GPC in 2020 as an aspiring college golfer. Koto has developed as a scholar, athlete and person throughout her time here -- lowering her scoring average by 20 shots while maintaining academic honors. The progression of Koto’s scoring average also directly coincides with her rising PDI score – starting at 24 to 49 (with two more PDI Assessments left this year!)

We are proud to recognize Koto for her commitment to Trinity College Women’s Golf Team. What a testament to her work ethic and commitment to her goals.
Sofia joined The Academy at GPC in 2020 with the goal to play college golf.

Sofia made an incredible impact on those around her throughout her time with us. Whether it was hosting a charity tournament to benefit Save The Children and or helping her peers balance academics and golf seamlessly. Her scoring average improved by 8 shots. Her progression in her scoring average directly coincides with her improved PDI score starting at 38 and climbing as high as 49.
