The recent Optimist Tournament of Champions at Mission Inn saw a strong showing from our GPA athletes, who battled a difficult course and cold morning conditions to deliver impressive performances. Among the standout competitors were William Spencer, Griffin Lawlor, Emily Kaulen, and Xeve Perez.
Xeve Perez (+3) demonstrated exceptional skill and composure, securing a commendable second-place finish in the highly competitive Boys 14-15 division. His performance is a testament to his dedication and talent.
In the Boys 16-18 division, both Griffin Lawlor (+7) and Will Spencer (+8) showcased their abilities by finishing in the top 10. Their strong placements highlight their consistent play and ability to perform under pressure, even when faced with adverse weather and a challenging layout.
Emily Kaulen also competed, representing her determination and commitment to the sport. All the students navigated the demanding course with resilience, proving their mettle against the elements and a tough field of competitors.
